A note on ordering boats: Sail Montana requires a 50% deposit on special ordered boats, balance due when the boat arrives at our shop. We can generally store a new boat for a while at no charge for a customer that can not take immediate delivery.

We offer a 15% discount on accessories ordered at the same time as the boat, such as deck and hull covers, excluding dollys and road bases (trailers).

Shipping of boats: shipping boats from the east coast to Montana is one of the biggest challenges in the boat business. At times we have actually run our own trucks to the factories (LaserPerformance and J Boats) and transported them ourselves. At this time, we will work with the manufacturers to ship boats the most efficient way, whether it be to use factory trucks, Sail Montana's trucks or Less than Load (LTL) carriers. The most cost effective way to take delivery of a new boat is to place an order well ahead of when you would like to use it and we can arrange for the most efficient method of transportation, occassionally taking advantage of factory promotions such as discounted or free shipping. The J/92S is a high-performance, affordable 30 footer that is both manageable and comfortable for short-handed and family sailing as well as a fun boat on the race course.
